Greetings from the Institute of Integrative Biosciences (IIB)! We are a young, quality conscious and student-centric entity that is currently in its 5th year of operation. IIB was established with the vision that it will emerge as a center of educational and research excellence within the region and outside, in selected areas of life sciences.
In addition to the Department of Biotechnology, IIB has also established the Department of Pharmacy and Department of Allied Health Sciences that plan to launch their respective degree programs in Fall 2019.
IIB’s mission is to impart the highest quality of education to its students and in doing so produce knowledgeable, technically savvy, and internationally competitive graduates who are not afraid of challenges. We expect our graduates to further their careers either at top-tier academic or corporate institutions, or work independently as successful entrepreneurs.
With the establishment of two new Departments, IIB is currently offering degree programs in Biotechnology (BS & MS), Pharmacy (Pharm-D) and Allied Health Sciences (DPT and MLT). IIB also plans to launch a PhD program in Biotechnology within the next 6 months.
We believe in experiential learning that promotes a clear understanding of how science is conducted, how experiments are designed and, how data is analyzed and communicated. Towards that end, we offer a number of laboratory courses to all our students. IIB has a group of very talented as well as experienced members of staff who are passionate about disseminating and creating knowledge. It is the collective effort of our staff that makes IIB a very special place for student learning and development.
